GBC is proud to partner with GBC members Twiggs & Co., a women-led, Denver-based sustainability consulting and implementation firm, to host two upcoming days of service at Growing Home, a north Denver Metro, nonprofit who focuses on strengthening families, nurturing children, and connecting communities. Below is the agenda for the day and more information about volunteer roles. Agenda 8:00 Volunteer orientation and tour 8:30 - 10:00 am market setup 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Market and Food Distribution 12:00 - 1:30 pm breakdown and clean up Job Descriptions Checkin (1 slot per day) - Approaches cars with clipboards and fills out half sheet with cars, placing half sheet on car windshield. Providing HS packets. Directs cars to move around to distribution. Indoor/runner (2 slots per day) - Prepares additional boxes according to serving for family of 2* . Provide additional Bags of Refrigerated, frozen perishables, milk, bread, etc to the distribution team. Distribution (2 slots per day) Distributors take half sheet from windshield and place box of food, and other requested items (diapers, mask, hygiene etc) directly into the trunk. *MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50Lb BOXES *Because we have such limited volunteer opportunities available, please notify us ASAP if you are unable to make your volunteer slot.
