We'll work to make the information accessible to you in plain language. You can make a valuable contribution with your lived experience, business acumen, and willingness to put in the work to give a thoughtful review and make recommendations on current legislation - because your voice matters!

Join a Task Force
Task Forces meet for a specified period of time and do a deep dive into one issue to provide a recommendation to the Policy Council on whether and how GBC should engage on legislation currently under consideration at the Colorado State Legislature. We have Task Forces on Climate, Healthcare, Housing, and Taxes/Fees/Regulations that meet once or twice and collaborate online via Google Doc. Click on a link below to join a Task Force on:
Become a Thought Partner
Thought Partners are individuals who we reach out to from time to time for specific input on specific issues and policies.

Join the GBC Policy Council
The GBC Policy Council meets regularly to evaluate legislation and make recommendations to the full membership on GBC’s endorsements and legislative activity.
Policy Council members commit time and energy to ensure GBC has a consistent policy direction and adequate capacity to review, prioritize, and make recommendations on legislation throughout the year, but most intensely during the Colorado state legislative session from January through May. You could be a great addition to the council if you can commit to:
attending 12 of the 16 one-hour zoom meetings per year (every two weeks January through April, monthly May through December)
staying up to speed on staff-provided materials (1 hour per week January through April, 1-2 hours per month May through December)
providing a quick turnaround on input and decisions (can be as short as 24 hours from January through April)
