About GBCA

Good Business Colorado Association (GBCA) is a statewide membership organization for values-driven businesses working to build a prosperous economy, equitable communities, and a sustainable environment across Colorado. Position Summary

GBCA is hiring a Program Manager to lead day-to-day management of the organization's full program portfolio. The Programs Manager will play a key role in the development, implementation, and communication of Good Business Colorado’s programming. In this position, you will ensure that our programs meet strategic goals, effectively engage members, and amplify our mission. This role sits at the intersection of programming, policy, and data: the ideal candidate is equally comfortable running a workshop, briefing our Executive Director about a legislative bill's status, and creating a member-engagement report. This position is ideal for a candidate with a passion for driving social impact and a talent for both organizing and communicating the work being done. This position will be on a contract basis with the potential to transition to full time.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute GBCA and GBC's program portfolio, including the Level Up Academy, Work Hard Play Hard, business skills workshops, and member networking events

  • Manage program logistics end-to-end: venues, vendors, speakers, registration, budgets, and post-program follow-up

  • Refine program curricula and formats based on member feedback and outcomes data

  • Coordinate the Level Up Academy's Policy Pitch Fest and Awards Show alongside the programming and policy teams

Policy & Advocacy Support

  • Support the Policy Council in developing GBCA's legislative agenda and coordinate Advocacy Day and Day of Action events

  • Track priority legislation through the Colorado General Assembly and maintain the legislative tracking log

  • Help coordinate legislator meetings, testimony, and coalition and task force partnerships

  • Mobilize members to participate in policy actions and civic engagement opportunities

Data & Metrics Tracking

  • Own and maintain GBCA's mission impact metrics system across all three pillars — Prosperous Economy, Equitable Communities, and Sustainable Environment

  • Administer the annual member survey, post-event and pre/post program surveys, and keep CRM records current

  • Track and report program and advocacy metrics (participation, satisfaction, legislative outcomes, media reach, etc.) for board and funder reporting

  • Maintain the data collection log and flag data quality or process gaps

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for members participating in programs and advocacy activities

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, and vendors

  • Represent GBCA at events, coalition meetings, and in the community

  • Send out communications pertaining to events and programs

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally at a nonprofit, association, or advocacy organization

  • Experience planning and executing in-person and virtual events or educational programming

  • Comfort working with data: CRM systems, survey tools, and spreadsheets

  • Working knowledge of how a bill becomes law and how legislative advocacy campaigns operate

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Social media and email marketing acumen, with the ability to create engaging content

  • Genuine alignment with GBCA's mission and values-driven approach to business

  • Ability to travel across Colorado periodically and work occasional evenings for events

Preferred / Bonus

  • Familiarity with Colorado politics and the legislative process — session calendar, key committees, relevant state agencies

  • Existing relationships with Colorado legislators, coalition partners, or policy organizations

  • Experience in small business support, economic development, or DEI/sustainability programming

  • Prior nonprofit membership-association experience

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
