Do you sell products through e-commerce? If so, you probably have a lot of questions about sales tax remittance. Good news: there are big changes underway for Colorado businesses that ship products to their customers! The state of Colorado has been hard at work regarding a new online Sales & Use Tax (SUTS) System. Rep. Tracy Kraft-Tharp (House District 29) will provide opening remarks and a background/summary of the legislature’s involvement with this issue, Jenn Penn will discuss the work of the Simplify CO Sales Tax Coalition and how to get involved; and Stephen Maguina will represent the Colorado Dept. of Revenue (DOR) to provide a demonstration of the new SUTS businesses will soon be using for remittance. Participants will be encouraged to ask your questions (and share your experiences) with Colorado sales tax remittance.
