Colorado’s Climate Strategy Webinar Series - Part 2

The passage of Colorado’s Climate Action Plan in 2019 (HB19-1261) set goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by at least 26% by 2025, 50% by 2030, and 90% by 2050, based on the statewide GHG emissions in 2005.

Please join fellow business leaders to learn how the process to set Colorado on a path to achieve these statewide GHG reductions is coordinated by Colorado’s Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC), Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) and additional state agencies.

The final webinar will begin with updates from Trisha Oeth from the Air Quality Control Commission, a representative of the Colorado Energy Office, and a representative from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment about next steps and priorities with Colorado’s Implementation Roadmap. After hearing brief updates from each state entity, there will be time for a few questions and sharing participant perspectives.

Participants will then self-select into four action planning break-out groups: transportation, electricity, commercial/industrial fuel use, and waste management. Participants will then enter breakout groups according to their choice. Each breakout group will propose and discuss new tangible action items from both a statewide policy level and a small to medium size business perspective, with facilitators giving examples in each category and initiating discussion on business perspectives.
